Gurney Drive at Night
A friend of mine at work got a new camera, so we went out Saturday night to check it out. Here he is playing with his new gear.
The pictures are of Gurney Drive. Gurney is one of the centers of activity on the island with lots of restaurants, shops, and condos.
We hiked out on some reclaimed land farther north west on the island near Straits Quay. We had to avoid lots of mud/muck and stay away from some stray dogs. But, it was a good adventure.
Really interesting color and reflections. Sally
Great pictures! Can’t wait to walk in that particular mud myself! So are the colors the product of your picture/camera settings or is that how it looks to the naked eye?
The colors are as is. I may have increased the saturation a little more than your eye would see. Also, I didn’t see any of the stuff on the ground. It was about a 25 second exposure, so the camera can see more than you can.
I love colors reflecting across the water. These are beautiful shots. And, sounds like a fun mud adventure, too.
Yet more beautiful photographs; what vivid colors and a great skyline! It’s hard to believe that you have such a cool urban environment yet remain so close to the wonders of nature and the living past, with exotic animals and ancient and historic landmarks–thank you so much for this sharing of your journey! Please remember me to all…with love, Packman
absolutely stunning!
