Burma Road Chinese Temple

In preparation for our upcoming trip to Cambodia, I enlisted my professional photographer friend, Matt Brandon to teach a temple photo shoot and Adobe Lightroom crash course. I am really excited by what I learned and to share the results from one of the temples we shot. (Anyone that wants to improve their photography skills should consider working with Matt. You can check out his work, blogs, and upcoming workshops at http://www.thedigitaltrekker.com).

There was a steady stream of worshippers that purchased incense and candles.

After lighting the candles and incense, they went to various locations around the temple to pray.

They then stuck the incense in large urns.

Soon afterwards, the incense was collected and burned to make room for the next set of worshippers.

The temple was a large complex. We were invited to explore the rooms in back.

Everywhere you turned there was something interesting to look at and photograph.

It was a great photo session and I learned a lot. Hope to post photos from the other temples we visited in a future post.
