This is only the afternoon of our second day in Cambodia. We visited Angkor Wat. Angkor Wat is the most famous and best preserved of the temples in the area.
I believe it is actually one of the smaller temple complexes. Because so much of it is so well preserved/restored, it feels much bigger than any that we visited.
Lots of activity around and in the temple.
The temple is incredibly ornate with carvings to check out everywhere.
Once again, there were many areas to explore.
Here, some of the pretty facade stones have fallen away and you can see the underlying stones on which the temple is built.
