Floating Village of Siem Reap
On one afternoon of our trip to Cambodia, Ron and I drove out to the floating village of Siem Reap. It is basically a road out into a large lake. The villagers either live in house boats or have built houses on stilts on each side of the road out over the lake.
Most of the daily activities take place over the water.
Lots of kids everywhere.
We learned to say “hello” in the local language, which is pronounced “sue-saw-day”. With that as a little ice breaker, most everyone was OK with having their picture taken.
